,,Modal Source Reconstruction Based on Radiated Far-Field for Antenna Design"

Our research focuses on the physical aspects of wireless communications, i.e. antennas and channel modelling.

  • Antenna integration!

Antennas are key components of many rf systems for wireless communications and sensors as they perform the transition from guided waves to free space propagating waves.
Antenna design is often seen as an artful methodology to apply basic electromagnetic principles to build up real structures with the required properties.
Nowadays applications offer limited space for the integration of the wireless modules and therefore especially the antenna performance is dominated by the integration impairments. This is not only true for consumer electronics but holds also e.g. for medical implants or Body Area Networks.

  • Channel modelling!

Radio wave propagation can be a difficult task because of the challenging channel in some applications, e.g. on/in-body communications or short range high data rate underwater communications.
